Links and things

Here are some cool places I've been, things I've seen, and people I've met along the way.

The Wanderlust Hostel - Gunnison, CO
Cozy, fun little hostel in Gunnison, CO. Amy, the host, is all kinds of fun and makes you feel right at home. And she's a mountain biker.

Braden Gunem

Beacon Bombers
Met four of the Beacon Bombers on the Amasa Back trail in Moab, UT. Manny, Frank, Alta, and (Matt?) were in Moab for a wedding and some riding. Bunch of really nice people, and they rode at my pace!

Smiling Otter Wilderness Adventures - Slocan, BC
I met Jim, the owner, while volunteering at Raid the North Extreme in the Kootenay region of British Columbia. He knows the area like the back of his hand, and isn't shy about sharing his local wisdom!

White House Backpackers Lodge - Nelson, BC
I stayed here for several nights while I was in Nelson, BC. Nice place, nice vibe, and I like the people who run it.

Dreamcatcher Hostel - Golden, BC
It started off with me intending to spend a couple of nights in Golden to check out the mountain biking scene; somehow, that stretched into five days in part because of the wonderful people and accommodations at the Dreamcatcher Hostel.
